Our Story
Founder’s note
I grew up in a third-generation construction family. From an early age, I saw how much the industry gave—but also how much it took. The dust, the noise, the pollution—it was clear to me that even as we built new worlds, we were also leaving scars on the old one.
When I looked closer, I realized fashion was no different. If construction was one of the world’s biggest polluters, fashion was a close second. The designer in me couldn’t ignore it, and the sustainability lover in me refused to accept it.
That’s where Q Atelier was born. I wanted to create fashion that doesn’t cost the Earth—pieces that are as kind to the planet as they are beautiful on women. With Aval, we upcycle forgotten saris, reimagine wasted fabrics, and work with eco-friendly materials like hemp, banana silk, and bamboo blends. But more than garments, we are stitching stories—of women, artisans, and communities who deserve opportunity, dignity, and pride.
For me, fashion isn’t about chasing trends. It’s about building something that lasts—just like the foundations I grew up watching in construction. Only this time, the foundation is sustainability, empowerment, and respect for our planet.

Behind every Aval piece is a crew that’s equal parts brilliant and bonkers. Litty, Shan, , Mithun, Sunil, Sharan, and Joboy keep the ideas rolling (and sometimes tumbling!)—all under the blessings of Father Saverious, who keeps us on track when things get a little too wild.
And making sure the ship sails smoothly are our coordinators—Aadhil and Sami—the calm in our creative storm. The hundreds of hands that work behind each fabric all paly a vital role in keeping our boat afloat.
